Consult The Publications of the Ministry of Health
Edicola Salute is the application for Android smartphones and tablets wanted by the Italian Ministry of Health to allow the free consultation of the Ministry's publications.
The Ministry of Health wants to inform and update all citizens on the subject of health and Edicola Salute and offers its publications divided according to three categories "Quaderni della Salute", "Report on the health status of the country" and "brochures", by the General Management of Communication and Institutional Relations.
The Notebooks of the Ministry of Health
The periodical "Notebooks of the Ministry of Health", born in 2010, represented the return of the Ministry to a high -level scientific editorial activity. The objective of the publication, on printed paper, web and now on tablet, is the promotion of the culture of appropriateness in clinical and diagnostic paths, first of all among the operators of the NHS. The topics covered, number by number, with monographic cut, deal with the most important fields and skills where it is to be found and achieved the definition of common work standards.
The report on the country's health status (RSSP)
The report on the country's health status (RSSP) is an essential component of the planning, programming and evaluation of the National Health Service cycle. The report was introduced by law no. 833 of 23 December 1978, establishing the National Health Service, as a periodic information, by the Minister of Health to Parliament, on the state of health of the country and on the implementation of health policies, and was subsequently identified by Legislative Decree no. 502 of 30 December 1992, integrated by Legislative Decree no. 229 of 19 June 1999, as a tool for evaluating the implementation process of the national health plan.
Objectives of the relationship are:
■ Illustrate the health conditions of the population present on the national territory;
■ Describe the resources employed and the activities carried out by the National Health Service;
■ Expost the results achieved with respect to the objectives identified by the National Health Plan;
■ submit the results achieved in terms of efficiency and quality of the assistance of the National Health Service;
■ Provide indications for the processing of health policies and the planning of interventions.
The process of preparation of the report is supported:
■ from the coordination of an editorial committee, having the functions of address and identification of the issues;
■ from the collaboration of a editorial committee, responsible for the development of content;
■ by the participation of authors identified for the insights on the individual thematic areas.
The statistical management office, within the general management of the information and health statistical system, is the reference structure of the aforementioned organizational apparatus and takes care of the realization of the analysis of information sources, relating to some specific issues.

Brochures
The Ministry of Health publishes a series of information brochures in the context of its communication and information activities for citizens and operators on the great issues of the protection and promotion of health: access to the performance of the health service, the correct lifestyle, food safety, animal welfare, protection from infectious diseases and climate change. By the General Management of Communication and Institutional Relations, in collaboration with the Ministry's offices.
