Widget complete with everything you need, with a single glance
GlancePanel is a Widget intended to monitor the essential parameters of the device and forecast:
- Watch
- Date
- Battery level, percentage of charge and battery temperature
- Moon phase
- Today's weather forecast
- Tomorrow's weather forecast
- Visualization of 2 calendar events
Touching different parts of the widget will open specific managements of the device:
- The clock opens the device clock.
- The day of the week and the month opens the calendar.
- The battery open the battery management.
- The weather forecasts opens GlancePanel application.
- The moon phase triggers the Rescue, from which you can send a help request.
The weather forecast are based on a fixed location chosen during the configuration.
The weather forecast service are chosen from 2 weather services: WorldWeatherOnline and OpenWeatherMap(BETA).
The widget are highly configurable, you can choose from many options:
- Location setting for weather forecast.
- Update interval of the forecast.
- Number of days of which to request the forecast (up to 5 days for World Weather Online).
- Unit of measurement for temperature and wind speed.
- You can automatically activate the data connection when updating weather data, both manual and timed (only on rooted systems).
In this case it is also settable the connection time.
- Text color and background color of the widget.
- Font and size of the watch.
- You can even trigger a notification to remind you to turn off the phone (no more possible automatically from Android 4.3).
If your device has a barometric sensor, it's reading will be shown in GlancePanel application.
- On LineageOS or Mokee systems you can schedule the operating system profiles directly from the application.
- At the synchronization, it's possible to check the connection with a web site of choice: if it's not active will be issued a warning.
- It's possible to activate a battery temperature control, so be warned of exceeding a predetermined limit activating the power-saving function.
- You can turn on the device localization selected by a user SMS text. Similarly, you can define a text message that activate data connection and one to call the sender on speaker.
