All six of Star Wars main films in the series were nominated for or won Academy Awards.
Just about everything related to Star Wars was a huge success when it first came out, in 1977 a Star Wars disco theme became a number 1 hit for two weeks. It also launched some pretty important acting careers, Harrison Ford who played Han Solo was paid in total $10,000 for his performance for the original Star Wars, a small start for a huge career! To this day on a tiny island of Niue in the South Pacific you can use Star Wars collectible coins as real money. There are many popular alien species present in the Star Wars franchise "Ewoks" where a huge part of the 3rd original movie, however, the name "Ewok" is never said aloud. The most famous sound effect from the movies would be the infamous lightsaber, the lightsaber is actually the sound from a hum of an old television in addition to combining it with the buzz of a film projector's motor.
