Water Quality Index for India
pH7 is a smart mobile app that aggregates, analyzes and generates a simple quality index that help people make informed lifestyle choices around water quality. pH7 is built on layers of data from multiple sources including open data gov platforms, central pollution control board, etc. and utilized proprietary methodology to create the water quality index for each region.
Unlike air quality, information on localized water quality is not readily available to the citizens although huge volume of water quality data is collected across India.
Cities have invested in water quality monitoring, however, monitoring data from sensors are too complex for common citizens to comprehend and act upon.
