Saving the Cyber World, one tile at a time.
In conjunction with Safer Internet Day (SID) (http://www.saferinternetday.org/web/singapore/home),
which will happen on the 5th February 2013 world wide, Singapore will be involved in this year's theme "Online rights and responsibilities" and encourage users to "Connect with respect".
SIDM (School of Interactive and Digital Media), Nanyang Polytechnic have created "Cyber Hero", a 2D causal Puzzle game to educate cyber wellness in a fun and causal way.
Players advance through the game and unlock more levels by reaching a certain amount of points in the shortest period of time for each level.
It is simple and addictive.
DESTROY and SCORE!
Players destroy tiles by selecting a good character and linking it with a maximum of 4 bad characters. The bad characters must be of the same symbol in order to be linked. Players will be awarded points as they destroy the bad characters. The longer the chain, the more points they will be awarded.
TIMER!
Players earn higher scores and more stars if they take lesser time to complete each level.
LEARN through Words of Cyber Wellness!
There are also letters to be collected, as they formed words related to cyberwellness. These contribute to extra bonus points.
POWER-UPS!
Power-ups will be generated randomly on blocks. There are several power-ups to assist the player in their game, which will be elaborated in a different section.
